Aquilex Welding Services bv is a specialist engineering and technology services company, with a European headquarters located in The Netherlands (Hellevoetsluis). We are one of the largest specialty mechanical maintenance contractors in the world, providing field and shop maintenance services to the power, nuclear, chemical, pulp & paper and similar heavy industries.

With domestic and international sales offices and shop locations, WSI can quickly respond to emergency repair situations or efficiently respond to scheduled contract maintenance requirements. WSI solutions automate routine, tedious and quality-critical maintenance practices, substantially improving the quality of repairs, the productivity and safety of personnel, and the performance longevity of repairs and upgrades. We are seeking to appoint a high-energy, personally motivated to continue (and expand) our business development in the Benelux region.

The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the inquiry through invoicing phases of the project business cycle for oil and gas focused (domestic and international) projects. Working closely with the Sales and Operations teams, the Project Manager develops high quality AWS product offerings for oil and gas clients, defines and manages commercial risks and opportunities consistent with the business’ project portfolio objectives, actively participates in the sales closure process, actively works with Engineering and Field Operations to successfully complete the project.

This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.

Essential Duties:

• Have full P&L responsibility for the assigned projects portfolio to include bid preparation, contract closure, and projects delivery, to meet AWS’s overall business commitments to their stakeholders.

• Prepare and present (for approval) all assigned commercial proposals prior to delivery to the customer to ensure the following:
+ proposal content is complete and accurate
+ technical accuracy for the work scope stated
+ commercial terms and strategy meet requirements
+ on time delivery

• Leverage project implementation exposure and performance for added work and account penetration. Develop strategy and up-scope all projects to maximize revenue potential on each project through:
+ use of pre project planning meetings / kickoff meetings
+ use of on-site management time during project implementation
+ use of post project reviews on site
• Communicate with Site Superintendents and Customers to ensure AWS site and customer needs are being fulfilled.

• Work with Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate, timely billing of projects and assist with collection efforts.

• Regular reporting to management regarding projects revenue forecasting, sales closure activity, and projects delivery (operations) status for the assigned projects portfolio.
• Develop ongoing account relationships that can be leveraged to further the development of existing accounts and gain WSI exposure to increasing levels of business activity (RFQ and turnaround planning).

• BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent technical expertise.
• 8-10 years experience in turn-around, field services or construction.
• Direct project manager experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, preferably with processing equipment maintenance.
• Cost estimating experience is desired.
• Contract management experience, including commercial law, is desired.
• Procurement / subcontractor management.
• Solid working knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and NBIC Codes is desired.
• Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word / Excel / Project / Power Point / Outlook).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direct supervision and be able to travel in support of the business cycle.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Project Management certification preferred.
